Enjoy the show. To give you some perspective, this happened last year, late in the summer,

in a very small town where I was renting a house while attending college.

My only neighbors were a very old woman who never left the house, and the farmer's co-op.

The woman lived to my right, and the co-op was to my left. Lastly, a trucker who's rarely home was living across the street from me.

I suppose it's also worth mentioning, this tiny community has a disproportionately high problem

with meth.

Anyways, on to my story.

When this happened, I was working graveyard shifts full time.

This meant I slept all day until I had to get ready for work.

And when I wasn't working, I was up all night.

Cut to me sleeping like the dead at around 9.30 a.m. with my trusty

roommate and best friend curled up in a big white fluff behind my legs. The curtains I had in my

bedroom were the ones that were there when I moved in, and they were effective blackout curtains.

I was woken up by the sound of tapping.

Someone was tapping their finger on my bedroom window.

I froze in bed when I heard this, and my eyes snapped open, just listening.

This went on for what felt like ten minutes,

though it was likely half of that.

My husky then began to snarl,
