2021 and I am super excited for today's episode.

Today's episode is going to be all about

responding to David Archaleta. So

most of you will know some of you maybe won't know that David Archaleta is

someone who was raised Mormon. He was I think a finalist on American Idol way back in the day and he's kind of a semi-famous

American pop star and for a long long time people wondered about David. Maybe there was gossip

speculation that he might be gay, you know, but he was also just kind of a Mormon pop star and then eventually he announced that he was going to go on a Mormon mission

and then just a while ago, I don't remember the dates. He came out and

acknowledged some level of of what Mormons and other evangelical Christians call same sex attraction.

He also talked a little bit about possibly

asexuality or intersex and

he kind of publicly announced what many people had known or wondered or speculated about for a long time that he certainly

belonged somewhere on the LGBTQIA spectrum and so since then he occasionally comments on various things and

recently he appeared on a YouTube channel. Basically the episode was called David Archaleta permission to make mistakes and it was with the host Maim

Biolic, but that interview that the David Archaleta did has sparked some interest and some discussion also recently

after a Mormon apostle Jeffrey Arhaaland gave a talk at BYU that was really controversial about the LGBTQIA community

David Archaleta also shared on Instagram or on TikTok some of his reactions to

Elder Holland's talk in the controversy around that and all of that sort of
