Summary

Monday February 13, 2017 was a warmer than normal day in the city of Delphi, Indiana. 14-year old Libby and 13-year-old Abby were excited to have a day off from school. The two decided to go for a hike on the Monon High Bridge Trail, not far from their homes. When Libby’s father arrived to pick the girls up, he couldn’t reach the girls by phone. He walked the trail, looking for the girls, figuring they’d simply lost track of time.

Less than 24 hours later, the deceased bodies of both girls were found, less than a mile from where they began their hike. It was clear from the scene that the girls had been victims of homicide, but what wasn’t clear was who targeted these teenage girls and why their day at the trails had ended so tragically.
