Summary

Hello and welcome to episode 149 of The Mindful Kind podcast.

This is the first episode in my new mini-series about meditation, so I've decided to talk about what meditation is, some of the research on it and a few of the potential benefits of a meditation practice.

Here are the links to some of the studies I mentioned:

Article: Does meditation have benefits for mind and body?

Article: Scientific benefits of meditation

Article: Meditation leads to greater pain relief than morphine

Some of the benefits of meditation can include reduced stress, anxiety and depression, increased self-awareness, better attention, help with anger management, more compassion and improved sleep.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the next episode in the meditation mini-series about the different types of meditation.

Thank you so much for listening and I hope you have a wonderful week, Mindful Kind.
