This is the Baymaw Podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brent Billings. Today we enter

Intoraverse byverse Journey through the Book of Romans, looking at Paul's introductory section as he

0:17.5

addresses this diverse group of believers. Yep, we turn our attention to Romans, the letter

0:23.6

that is quoted to me more than any other letter in the Bible. So let's do this thing. I used to have

0:33.7

such a... You've probably still sent a little disdain. I don't have a disdain for Romans anymore

0:38.0

because the proper interpretation of Romans is amazing. It's going to go really nicely alongside

0:43.2

of what's going on in Galatians and yet it is different. It's not the story, the letter written

0:47.2

to the Galatians. So I really love Romans now. I used to have a disdain for Romans because of the

0:53.0

over-emphasized focus that Evangelicals had on this book, but we're going to enjoy walking through.

1:23.4

case in Rome. And they're wanting to convert. That's not what's happening in Rome. So the situation

1:29.1

is very, very different in Galatia from Romans and yet the gospel is still the same gospel. The point

1:34.7

of Paul is still the same point. His heart is still the same. Context is radically different. But

1:39.9

before we jump into that, let's go and read the first few verses. Let's just get started in the

1:42.6

introduction here. Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the

1:46.9

gospel of God. The gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures

1:51.8

regarding his son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David and who through the spirit

1:57.2

of holiness was appointed the son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead. Jesus Christ

2:02.8

are Lord. In a long sentence. Yeah. Through him we received grace and a apostleship to call all
