The Old Man the Gun began as a 2003 New Yorker article by David Grant about the life and career

of Forrest Tucker, a criminal whose arrest record dated back to his teen years, as did his

escapes from whatever facilities he was placed in, including San Quentin. The film mostly covers

a later chapter in Tucker's career when he and a gang of
