that we live in today is in turmoil and as a result today's podcast episode is different.

I know that many of you tune into this podcast to hear discussions on financial wellness and business tips.

However, as a black woman raising a black son married to a black man and as someone who has experienced racism my entire life living here in the U.S. and partially growing up in Europe and going to college in Europe.

I am unable to stay quiet, to stay silent regarding the racial injustices that

people of color are continuously facing and everything that is going on in

this country today. And my heart is so very heavy for the senseless killings

for the fact that there are people in this world

who think that the value of one life is less than another because of their skin

color. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmed Aubrey, countless others. These are people who have lost their

lives as a result of racial injustice. And so I wanted to share a few things

as it relates to using your voice

to stand against racism and racial injustice and not just stay silent. If I were to sit here

and tell you stories of my experiences with racism we would seriously be here all day. I vividly remember my first memory of a racial

experience. I remember experiencing racism growing up and going through

college as the only black girl in my university until

another black girl came and it was two of us until we left that college

campus. There are so many instances that I can share with you that will just keep me here for hours talking to you about my experience.

And as a person of color, when it comes to racism, you come to expect it which is really really unfortunate
