Nephi doesn't get the plates exactly the way he planned.

Like, they have several notable failures and an angel showing up and rebuking them before they hit on the plan that works.

I would say the same thing happened to the early saints.

They do get it done, just not precisely in the way that they thought it was going to happen.

But the Lord is trying to help them prepare, as he said, really clearly

in Section 95, like for some pretty serious spiritual blessings. How much can he invest in you? How much

trust can he show in you? You've got to kind of work to that level. I've done too many things. I've

made too many mistakes. How could God possibly love me? Like, that's not what the Lord's saying

here in Section 95.

But regardless of your weaknesses, your shortcomings, God loves you 100%.

He loved us so much that in our sinful state, he sent his son to die for us.

Therefore, Casey, I see no controversies.
