0:00.0	All right, a lot to talk about this week. I think this one's going to get deep, especially if you've ever wanted to learn the dynamics between a narcissist and an empath, Aaron Doughty. How are you?
0:11.8	Doing awesome, man. Thanks for having me on. I think this is going to be a great conversation. Yeah, I'm ready. Where did all of this begin for you? Where did this knowledge, the spiritual journey, spirituality? Where did this start for you? For did this knowledge the spiritual journey spirituality where
0:21.5	did this start for you for me it started back uh in the process of overcoming a lot of the childhood
0:28.9	wounding that happened back when i was a kid um back in 2012 i had a spiritual awakening
0:36.0	where i became aware of a lot of these patterns that
0:39.4	were on autopilot since childhood. I became just aware of how much that was affecting me in my
0:45.5	life. I kind of woke up and realized that a lot of the dynamics that were in my life at the time
0:51.5	in 2012 were replayed similar childhood dynamics from earlier
0:56.0	on in my life. I was working at a job selling women's shoes at Nordstrom's in Las Vegas.
1:01.7	The manager of that department that I worked for for like four years, she was almost the same
1:07.4	exact personality as my ex-stepmom who was in my life from when I was about
1:12.6	seven to 17 years old. So I had someone in my life that was controlling, that was manipulative,
1:18.3	that was, my brother and I, we didn't have a lot of freedom. We weren't allowed to have
1:24.2	friends, weren't allowed to, I had to earn going to school activities.
1:29.4	We'd have to sneak food to get enough food to eat.
1:33.5	My dad was a firefighter, or he was a firefighter, so he was gone a lot of the times.
1:36.4	But she got away with a lot, and her power kind of increased. And then towards the end, eventually my dad divorced her.
1:39.6	And when my dad divorced her, it was like a whole new world.
1:42.1	My brother and I had all this freedom. We were allowed to have friends, allowed to have enough food to eat, allowed to, like not to earn going
1:48.9	to school activities. However, with that came this energy that was like all this freedom was there,
1:56.9	but also there was anxiety that came with that. This is something I became aware of later,
