Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of the podcast.

0:10.8

Today's episode is loosely titled, working title.

0:16.2

I always say working title because as I make my notes,

0:20.4

this is just the working title I have at the top of those notes.

0:24.6

But as we go in and edit the episode and prepare to publish, sometimes that title becomes refined.

0:33.1

So my working title is five things I learned in the last five years of my fitness journey.

0:41.1

Now, I've been on my fitness journey, if you will, for much more than five years.

0:47.8

I really found the gym when I was, say, 16, 15, 16 years old.

0:58.9

And this started with just working out at our high school gym, Pomerah, Pennsylvania,

1:06.0

and then graduating to a commercial gym, this gym in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, where I'm from, was called New York Fitness.

1:18.1

And then I eventually started working at New York Fitness.

1:21.7

I sold memberships and I made smoothies.

1:25.3

Loved making the smoothies.

1:30.9

And then from there, I got really serious once I got to college.

1:37.6

It fell in love with the gym and strength training and bodybuilding.

1:47.8

And that's where, you know, my love for health and fitness and performance and the gym really started and has obviously evolved and transformed to many different domains and types of fitness since then.

1:59.8

I started around I was 15, 16 years old, and now I'm 35 years old.

2:05.1

So I've been on this journey, if you will, for a little over 20 years, give or take now.

2:11.9

And I've learned a lot. And the goal of this episode is to share my experience with different training and nutrition

2:21.7

focuses specifically over the last five years.

2:25.5

Because over these last five years, my focus on training and nutrition has become more

2:30.7

refined.
