There have been a bunch of new Python web frameworks coming out in the past few years.

Generally, these have been focused solely on Python 3 and have tried to leverage Python's new

async and await features.

However, these frameworks have come with their own new APIs.

They may be amazing, but it's still something new to learn and a barrier to migrating over to them

and between them.

That's why when I learned about Cort from Philip Jones, I was excited.

It's an async-enabled web framework that attempts to be 100% compatible with Flask, including the extensions.
