My Uncle owns a 100-acre property along the Ohio River in Indiana.

We lived not too far from my uncle, in a home that housed seven kids at one time.

My cousins lived with us off and on.

This included Gabby and Roland.

They were the closest of the bunch to me.

My best friends really.

We were inseparable.

There came a weekend when we got permission from my uncle to camp on his property in the

woods next to the Ohio River.

So excitedly, we began to pack up our stuff and get everything ready for our camp out.
