You're going to. I remember on that day she was 16 and I knew her when she was 13 and I knew her when she was

probably 13 and and so this adult comes along and he loses her.

I mean, did she come from a broken home or do you know any of the background there?

Her family situation was parents were non-English speaking and so she was the only English speaking she and her siblings and so those types of situations as a school resource officer I noticed those kids kind of run that

household and they run the show and they do whatever the hell they want to do and unfortunately

she had run away a couple of times and the parents don't know how to call the police or how to report her as a runaway or if they do, you know, they don't know all the ends and outs of where she could have gone.

Yeah. it's heartbreaking this is going to get worse as we go along here.

Yeah, absolutely, just that.

I mean, I had been around all of these kids and then I got to thinking how many, how many of these kids are going to end up on that path, how many have already been on that path.

And so that's really what started my interest in going to the Vice Unit at that time and

actually testing for a full-time position to get there.

Yes.

But you weren't having to work homicides or robberies or any of the other felony calls, right?

Yeah, luckily Phoenix was big enough that we didn't even there was a whole separate other because some agencies their vice unit does drug investigations also.
