It's a week we've been anticipating for a while. We didn't know when it would come, but it came this week. Sorry to say that Harper Lee passed away. This week at the age of 89, she would have been 90 in April and April 28th, Nell Harper Lee.

I'm sure most of you, if you're listening to this show, probably are plugged enough into the news and the book news especially to know that.

You know, it's funny, we were just talking last week about what authors will be remembered

and you know with Tony Morrison's birthday last week and how Will will say, you know, bouncing

our grand kids on our knee or grand puppies or whoever will be bouncing

on our knee that you know will say I can't believe we were alive at the same time Tony Morrison.

Well we forgot the obvious one and

only I think because the the corpus of work is so is so short. Sure because she

wasn't writing in our life. Wasn't writing in our lifetime in a way it feels already

felt like an author from a different time
