We want to get into our weekends. I know we all have personal lives. And, you know, I appreciate you all joining me today. I'm going to read emails because this is a little leader. And that's what we do on little leaders.

I read the emails that you send to me. This isn't a regular Cult Leader. She's much smaller, much more petite. And it's where I read the stories that you send to me. We had Tina Majorino on Monday's episode where we talked about famous Hollywood horror set accidents. And it was so much fun. On obituary this week, we talked about anthropodermic bibliopogy, which if you don't know, you're going to want to listen to that episode. Trying to think of anything.

Oh, I watched, okay, I watched a movie the other night and it's called 31. I believe it's a Rob Zombie movie. And I don't know. I don't think it's tied directly to House of 1000 Corp.s or the Devil's Rejects or any of those ones. All of them I have enjoyed.

You know, I'm not typically a big, gory person. I love like a slasher. That's more of my vibe. I feel like you've heard me talk about that before. It was pretty interesting. A wild threat. If you liked like House of 1000 Corp.s and those, I think you might like it. It got horrible reviews. People called it a flop. I watched the whole thing. Book emojis and a wedding ring in your in your bio. So if that sounds familiar to you, you should respond to my message. But let's get into some emails. I want I won't hold us up. I won't waste your time. This first one said the subject was catfish-ish question mark.

Hi Spencer. I'm a fairly new cold babe brought to you by running out of my old podcast during the quarantine and looking for new ones and Lordy and my glad I did. I heard your call for cat fishing and bad dating stories. And this is mine.

Yes, first of all, thank you. And second of all, we know I love a catfishing story. A few years ago, I had a bad date and took an Uber to get home. My Uber driver was this super hot guy who was friendly in the way of Uber drivers chatting with me along the drive. But when we got to my apartment, we just sat in the car and kept talking.

He was new to the United States, having just moved to Boston from Brazil and was very gregarious and sweet. Eventually, he very politely asked if he could text me and I was like, yeah sure, we exchanged numbers and he texted me that night.

You gotta be careful with that because guess what? This Uber driver knows where you live. We started dating shortly thereafter and he seemed basically perfect, ridiculous chemistry, attentive, surprised me with gifts. It was two weeks of rom-com level romance.

All of a sudden, one day, he started getting a little distant, which my anxiety brain was like, he hates you, but then my logical brain was like, come on, just because he goes quiet for one day doesn't mean anything. Then it stretched into a second day and my anxiety brain got the better of me.

Now you may think I'm crazy, but I hadn't tried to find him on social media yet. Weird I know, but I'm always afraid of accidentally spilling a detail that I shouldn't know yet in conversation that I learned in social media stalking. What good point?

But I decided now was the time and I very quickly found out why he was distant. Turns out, this dude had an entire Beyonce and baby in Brazil. I texted him and I was like, what the actual fuck? And he tried to give me this whole thing about how he didn't think the baby was his and he tried to stay with the mother but it didn't work.

And so he moved to the United States to get some space while they figured out the paternity of the baby, but he loves the baby and wants it to be his, but he knows that the Beyonce was cheating, so he's not with her anymore, whatever, blah blah bullshit.

Obviously, that was the end of it. I went through my phone and screenshot it at our tax date, just in case his fiance ever came around asking who the hell I was to prove that I wasn't like a purposeful home wrecker.

But that didn't happen. He did reach out to me a couple more times to quote apologize and years later tried to add me on Snapchat, but like really bad, really?

Anyway, I don't know if that's considered a catfish, but to this day, this is one of the many reasons I have trust issues. Thank God for therapy. Yes, thanks for the podcast. Love Katie.

Katie, thank you for sharing your story with the Colt. That is definitely a catfish. I mean, he wasn't catfishing his looks in the traditional sense.

He was definitely catfishing who he actually was. We'll call it a catfish. You have to be careful. You never know who you're talking to.
