0:00.0	So hello, everybody. I am here with J.F. Martel. Jeff Martel is a thinker. He's a filmmaker.
0:07.4	Just a cultural theorist. He's written a book called Reclaiming Art in the Age of Artifice and also
0:13.4	host a podcast called Weird Studies. The strange thing about JF is that several years ago,
0:18.3	someone pointed me to him and said that we were like doppelgangers,
0:21.2	that we really look like each other. Even my wife, when she saw a picture of him, thought,
0:25.6	wow, this guy really looks like you. And what's interesting is that a lot of his ideas start from
0:30.1	similar positions as mine, talks about the world, this story, about how, you know, reality is built
0:36.4	out of story. And he comes to conclusions that are slightly different from me.
0:40.2	So I think this is going to be a very interesting discussion.

1:18.8	And we're also both French-Canadian, which is just strange.
1:20.5	So we should have been doing this in French.
1:24.5	Yeah, it's a little awkward, but we'll get the hang of it.
1:25.3	We're both used to it.
1:36.1	The thing is that, yeah, I guess it goes to show that we come from a society that was until very recently, very homogenous that we could look so similar and not have the same last name.
