Welcome to Grumpy Old Geeks episode 146 for February 5th 2016. I am Jason DeFilippo.

And I'm Brian Schultmeister. Hi Jason. How you doing buddy?

I'm wondering if there are any adults left in the world.

No, no, I didn't think so. I was watching the news this morning and here in LA they're

tearing down a historic bridge this evening and they're shutting down the 101 freeway to accommodate

that. And it's the news. Yet they titled the segment slow jam, slow jam. There are no adults left.

I do not need humor with my news. I just want news. Why? I don't want to cover jokes. I don't

want stupidity. Isn't that for the internet? Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing here?

So that's kind of hypocritical I believe. Well, we don't claim to be real news.

Neither does it news on TV anymore. No, apparently not. Anyways. Well, you know, it's a 18-year-old

intern that writes those headlines. Pretty much. Well, maybe it's an AI. Maybe.

Be. Could be. So we've mentioned many times. Well, you have specifically how everybody wants to

take away your bandwidth and charge you more money. And we missed this one last week and Comcast

is doing it again again. Are we surprised? Yeah. I've been saying since episode one,

hey, guess what? Guess what? The entire world is pushing you towards streaming so they can

charge you more. Yes. And Comcast is working on that with, you know, this is the overage plan.

This is nothing new. People have tried it before. This has all happened before. They will all

bill you again, you know, that kind of thing. Yes. And they're they might be in a pickle with this

one though. Why is that? Well, there's this whole issue of they've got their own streaming service.

And for some reason, that doesn't get dinged against your bill. Only things like Netflix and Hulu do.
