The Old Gods and the New.

This is a podcast where I tell stories from mythology and folklore.

Some are incredibly popular stories you think you know, but with surprising origins.

Other stories that might be new to you, but are definitely worth listening.

Today's story about the Viking Age isn't set in the Viking Age, but about 300 years later,

when Scandinavia had largely converted to Christianity.

We'll start in the court of King Olaf, the king of Norway in the 11th century.

I also want to note that if you haven't listened to the saga of the Vulsongs,

episodes 3A through 3E, and the saga of Ragnar Lothbrook, in episodes 13A and B,

we do mention some spoilers to the stories.

Also, listening back to those episodes for this one, they're a little rough around the edges.

So I just want to put something out there.
