we head into the Backcountry.

Our guest is Eric Knopf, and he is a fly fishing guide during the summer, and an avalanche

forecaster in the winter.

So he has this interesting mix of experience in terms of spending a ton of time outdoors,

and then also a scientific and educational understanding of weather patterns.

So he's seen it all.

It's really interesting to talk with Eric about the weather in the mountains, how unpredictable

it can be, yet at the same time some of the things that we can look for to anticipate,

to predict, to prepare for conditions that we might face as we head out into the mountains.
