Today I have two ladies, Ruth and Donnell, and we are talking about a heavy subject matter.

But I don't think it was a heavy podcast, which I think is really good. We are talking

about suicide today, suicide prevention.

Donnell is an attempt survivor and now has dedicated a lot of her life to improving mental health for herself and for other people.

And Ruth's mother committed suicide.

So she is a suicide survivor also, I guess, in a different way and I don't know I just

wanted to talk about this topic I think that we have a lot of people at home

in COVID feeling feeling depressed, hopefully not suicidal, but feeling depressed and feeling

down, maybe having thoughts like this.

So I thought it was good to talk about this from the perspective of Donnell who has survived attempting and from the perspective of people who have survived having lost people because I've lost a couple people from suicide and obviously Ruth lost her mother.

So I don't know I think it's just an important conversation to have.

So I hope you enjoy it. I mean enjoy it is a strong word. Learn from it. How about that? I hope you learn from it because I learned from this episode as I tend to do for most of my conversations. So I hope you learn from it too.

Even though it's a heavy subject matter I think it's a very important one.
