There's been very little coverage as is usual for such a region in Africa in general

as well. I think there's just not enough reporting on the

conflicts there but it's been a significant rise right in the conflict

in a CIR recently maybe tell us what's going on why is that happening right

now yeah it's it's been an extraordinary year.

And already by that point,

some pretty extraordinary events had taken place, but we didn't really know what it was

setting in store for the year ahead. At times, it's been very fast moving lightning developments every day.

At the moments it's kind of been stagnant levels where nobody was really sure what was going on.

And then there's just been this overall fog of war

that is settled on the country.

And one of the reasons behind that is a terrible lack of access for journalists, the human rights investigators, for UN peacekeepers across the country due to the Russian presence in the country
