As the COVID pandemic begins to slow in Spring of 2021, we are seeing a surge in vocal Mormon church members being summoned to disciplinary councils for excommunication on the charges of apostasy. Last week Natasha Helfer was excommunicated from the Mormon church for nothing less than advocating for ethical mental health and sexuality. Today we interview Neesha and Kyle Brost, who were recently threatened with excommunication by their Mormon leaders for posting videos to their very popular TikTok channel.

0:47.2 | advance that she would not be allowed to have her phone on and she had all her notes |

0:55.8 | And it was a really crazy scene. They had cop cars waiting to escort us all off the premises. |

1:03.9 | But Natasha was amazing and there was so much love and support there. |
1:07.8 | And I just want to say Natasha was excommunicated because she's been a public advocate for science-based, |
1:13.8 | evidence-based mental health and sexual health. |
1:16.5 | And that's literally why they excommunicated her in 2021. |
