jump ahead, but I'm going to get started on the news in just a second. I do want to read an email

from Lillian who sent me a very thoughtful criticism and I want to share it. She said, hey, Peter, truly enjoy your daily show. Appreciate all the hard work. You do single-handedly to put into it. I've been a listener since your serious days and followed you after you're left. Here's the butt. The often inconsistent volume levels are annoying and sometimes so frustrated and I have to turn the show off.

For context, I listen on an Alexa speaker. Perhaps that has something to do with this, but what I

experience is at my volume to your opening monologue. Then the level varies with each clip you play

in each interview. Some are so low. I can barely hear them if I turn the volume up. What next comes

blasting out of the speaker is up and down is so frustrating that sometimes I have to give up. I realize you're managing the production by yourself and how you pull it all together. There's nothing short of miraculous. But if there's anything you can do to level up the volume, this one listener will be very appreciative. Lillian, thank you very much for your thoughtful, kind, and helpful email. You're not alone. I'm going to try that. Definitely figure that out. I've heard it before, and I'm going to try to figure out how to fix that ASAP. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to end your subscription, and I hope you can find another podcast that doesn't annoy you quite as much that has just as much, as many clips from all types of varying sources with varying volume.
