Minecraft is more than a hobby.

It's almost an obsession.

And while we worry about anything in excess,

Minecraft itself offers a lot for kids with ADHD and LDs.

It can help build executive function skills, it can improve processing

speeds and working memory if it's used in conjunction with a balanced play diet. But

there are other options besides Minecraft. So today our guests are

Randy Coleman and James Daly of Learning Works for Kids and they're going to tell

us about additional video games and apps for children that offer similar benefits.

They'll be talking about such topics as why Minecraft and similar video games are so incredibly

appealing. How and why apps and games can sharpen our children's skills both from emotional control to problem solving.
