This morning, we are wrapping up Romans chapters 6, 7, and 8.

And today, we are looking at verse number 35. I had to find my place there. We're 35

and following. We spoke about this at the tail end of yesterday's episode and this is such an

encouraging section of scripture. I hope that you have taken the time to meditate on

this passage at some point in your Christian walk because it is just such encouraging thing to know that Jesus

Christ truly loves us and that that love is consistent and it is stable in spite of the inconsistencies and

instabilities of life.

Verse 35 says, who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

You see, Paul knew that the hardships of life could derail us in terms of our confidence that Jesus Christ is actually on our side because we tend to think well how could a loving God allow this thing to happen to me

you know because we are parents we are children in an earthly sense and we

understand that a lot of what it means to be a parent is protecting your child, is

keeping them safe. But I think sometimes we think along that line to our own detriment because we don't

understand that our perspective on parenting on what it means to be loving toward

our children is skewed by the sinful nature of the world we live in and

by the sinful patterns that we have lived in and grown up under in our own experience. Here's what I mean. We think that protection
