A few days ago I got a message from a French Hebrew student.

She wrote the word chamudim, cute, plural, transliterated into French, but she used R, so she wrote

Ramudim. In her mind, R and Ghette are the same letter and sound.

For an Israeli eye and ear, this is very strange.

Chhette is Chchchchchchchchchch, and Resch is rhe.

I also saw Alshav instead of Arshav and saw people confusing Barur, clear with Baruch, blessed.

Plus there was a message from listener Jeff Rager asking me to talk about it so I decided to
