What happens to a child who experiences deeply painful trauma? It is possible to repress those memories. It is a survival mechanism and survivors of childhood abuse can recover repressed memories much later in life. Lynn Crook is the author of a book called FALSE MEMORIES: THE DECEPTION THAT SILENCED MILLIONS Lynn began recalling memories of child sexual abuse in her forties which resulted in Lynn's decision to take her parents to court. Lynn shares her experience of standing up and speaking her truth at a time when the False Memory Syndrome Foundation was accusing survivors of lying about the memories they were recovering.
