Summary

This mountain warfare instructor accepts no excuses; just learn and do. He speaks with the same force of confidence that he hopes to instill in others. First growing up gaining woodsman skills in Maine and then later through a 36 year tenure in the military, Smith always sought and found strong role models from who to learn. That learning soon transitioned into leadership and mentoring. His methods are deceptively simple, but are you strong enough to see them through?

0:37.8	a master sergeant in Vermont National Guard with 36 years of experience in both active duty and the National Guard
0:48.8	and specializing here in Mountain Warfare, cold, and everything else.
0:52.7	And so we want to talk a little bit about what we're doing and the Spartan Zagogy,
0:57.3	but then we want to expand pass a little bit and talk more about you, your experience.
1:01.3	One of the most gratifying things for me in this AGOgee business is working with diverse people.
1:06.4	And I'm so pleased over the performance of the people at AGOgee.
1:11.8	The weather's been terrible. The conditions have been very difficult and we've challenged them pretty consistently.
1:18.0	We've thrown a lot at them in a short time and their ability to just perform their teamwork and their desire to learn is
1:26.3	wonderfully gratifying for me and a tremendous motivator.
