I hope you had a good weekend, and it was fun or not too bad or maybe lazy. Maybe you got some things done. Maybe you didn't. Maybe you saw some people. Maybe it didn't. Either way, I had a quiet weekend. Got a lot done though. And I am very much looking forward to this week. I'm going to have some great guests joining me, and I'm excited to see you and hear from you.

I'm excited Drew is out of the hospital and that Paul Alderson edited his pledge up. That was very nice, and I try to give shoutouts whenever it happens.

I almost always miss, but it was very generous, Paul, and I'm very thankful to you.

And everybody listens to this show, especially those who pay for your subscription because I can't do it without you.

And I'm here pretty much every day of the week giving you the most robust news recap, although I've been unreliable with the time that I get it up.

But I'll be back on a more consistent schedule, I think, starting next week when things are a little back to normal in my life, still here at the house until Val gets back from Italy. Excited to get things done and do things. And now let's do the show. And taking you behind the

curtain of the show, the format, there are basically four blocks. I do an opening. I do the

headlines, the clip show, which is audio clips from the day, almost always, and then the interview or two.

Those are the different segments as I see them, as I produce them.

And you love when you're in radio or in podcasting, have sound effects and jingles and stuff.

That's always great and fun.
