Hi everybody, this is Joe Lample, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe

Gardner Show.

Every so often we have a conversation with a small-scale farmer who in many ways is more

like a Gardner.

They're organic and they're growing methods, they love what they do, they have a real

passion for their vocation, which often stems from an avocation for gardening and growing.

They're doing great things with it and willing to share what they know.

Well, today you're going to meet someone that fits all of that to a tea and more.

Counter-Crickmore is a small market farmer.

Gardening and growing on just 1.3 acres along the never-sync river and the cat-skill mountains

of northern New York in the very short growing season of Zone 5B.

There are a lot of things about Connor as you get to know him in this conversation that

will lead you to understand why he's been so successful and making the most of his relatively

small farm.

But it's his backstory, the fact that he had no farming or gardening in his past, and

the risk he took to leave his lucrative job in technology in New York City and walk

away to start a farm and make a living at it.
