On January 23rd, 2007, in order to obtain a search warrant, a narcotics officer claimed to have seen Meek Mill selling crack out of his home.

The following day Meek was stopped on his way to a corner store and they found a gun. He was badly beaten. Arrested for illegal

possession of a firearm and later charged with assaulting arresting officers who claimed that he had pointed the gun at them.

In 2008, due to the cost, Meek waved the jury trial was tried for drug and weapons charges and sentenced to two years
