We are just a few days away from the official first day of summer here in the Northern

0:05.8

Hemisphere. And with that, you'll likely find that your garden is going through sort of a transition.

0:12.7

This is something that I didn't even know existed my first garden season, but now it is like

0:18.4

clockwork. It's something that I know to look for

0:21.3

and there are tasks that I need to do

0:23.1

around this time of year.

0:24.7

0:43.9

to start doing some of these early transitional tasks. So today on the podcast, I'm going to give

0:49.9

you a list of tasks that you can expect to be doing right around now to get prepared to close

0:56.5

1:05.0

started my first garden having no background, knowledge, or experience whatsoever. Now I am

1:10.6

embarking on my eighth season of

1:12.4

growing my own vegetables, fruits, and herbs, and I'm proof that you don't have to have decades

1:17.0

of experience to grow your own garden, big or small. I certainly don't know at all, but I can share

1:22.6

what I've learned and bring guests along who can offer much more wisdom than I have. I'm so glad you're here at the Beginners Garden podcast today.
