Today I'll be dispensing with our normal format, and we're just going to talk about coronavirus and the many impacts that are starting to be felt throughout the aviation industry.

And not only will we talk about how it's impacting the airlines, but we'll also talk about how it's affecting general aviation, especially charter flights and flight schools.

But we won't be talking about the virus itself, how real the danger is, or precautions that

you may want to take to avoid catching the virus, as there are many sources of that information.

And I do expect for our next show that we'll be back to a regular format, which includes

general aviation news, my updates, followed by a pilot education or safety topic, and listener feedback in question.

20 minutes on local freeways from my home in Silicon Valley to the Palo Alto Airport arriving about 9 a.m.

Many local high-tech companies, including Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn announced last week that employees should work at home.

And while this may be an overreaction, consider this.

Over a quarter of all-known cases in California are right here where I live in Santa Clara County.
