Summary

Today we begin our first multi-part arc, starting with the series' first attempt at a cloak-and-dagger romantic thriller, "Senate Spy" (an episode which unfortunately lives up to neither "cloak-and-dagger" nor "romantic thriller.") Then, we head to Geonosis for the war film inspired "Landing at Point Rain," where clones die by the dropship-load, Geonosians face the wrath of Republic flamethrowers, and Jedi once again serve less as generals and more as ego-driven quarterbacks.

0:18.8	So today I want to begin with a return to something that Natalie said back when we watched
0:27.8	attack of the clones. Natalie re-enacted a scene for us, and I believe the spin you put
0:35.4	on it was in a key romantic exchange between Anakin and Padme. Anakin wanted to know what's
0:43.9	your body count, what's your body count? That's true. To which Padme replied, one, and Anakin
0:50.2	went straight to so you a hoe. We haven't really dealt with that since then. We haven't figured
1:00.6	out about that one, and we haven't addressed Anakin's rather drastic reaction to the discovery
1:10.0	that someone else was involved with Padme before him. But today we're going to get into that
1:17.3	as we hit Senate Spy, and that sets up a more straightforward military sci-fi episode landing
1:24.2	at Point Rain, and that's going to start an entire, this is all part of a larger arc, but
1:29.2	like we're going to be on Geonosis and dealing with that for a while. But first, we do have
1:34.6	to get to the bottom of the relationship dynamics and lingering jealousies of one Anakin Skywalker
1:42.1	and Padme Amidala, and just get a little taste of what life at Shay Skywalker Amidala
1:50.0	is like two pretty straightforward episodes. I can summarize them really quickly, and then
1:57.3	we start going beat by beat. In the first episode, basically, we are going to learn that
2:02.6	there is a traitor within the Senate. It is almost certainly Padme's ex-boyfriend,
2:09.8	Rush Clovis, and she will be asked to spy on him based on their previous relationship.
2:18.4	Anakin will be very jealous. They will go off on this mission. They will reenact some
2:24.0	key scenes from the Hitchcock film Ditorius, and they will reveal Clovis as a spy and
2:30.9	also discover the location of a massive new droid factory, weirdly enough, right where
2:36.2	the old one used to be. Very clever, these Separatists. You wouldn't think they just
