Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to Talk About the Bible.

I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far.

And if this is your first time joining us, then let me briefly introduce myself.

My name is Christian Keeter, and I'm on staff at an international discipleship ministry called Mentoring

Men for the Master, which is based out of North Carolina on the east coast of the U.S., which is

where I also live with my amazing wife and our two wonderful daughters. So this week's episode

is a direct continuation of last week's, namely episode 13, which was about

reconciling Matthew 6, 13, and James 113. So if you have not yet heard that episode, it would be

helpful probably to pause this one and go back and listen to that one and then come back and

pick up from here. Because while this isn't necessarily what I would call a series,

it's definitely a continuation of the conversation.

Last week, just as a brief review, I had been asked by somebody how to reconcile these two

passages, and I'm not going to rehash all the stuff that I discussed last time. But even as I was answering my friend that question, I saw not only the need to answer his

question, but to take it a few steps further. And that's what we're going to be doing today. So,

last week we looked at what was happening spiritually whenever we faced temptation of any kind.

And I called it the anatomy of temptation.

You know, what role does the enemy play?

What's the Lord up to in the circumstance?

What is the, what role does the flesh play, the world play?

Like what does how do all these things work together?

And so it was a synopsis of that and so we are going to carry on from there because it left us with a glaring
