Well, Mini has launched electric versions of its performance line. John Cooper Works, JCPW, featuring the Cooper and the Aesman models.

They were shown off this morning at the Paris Motor Show. They offer 254 horsepower, which is 189 kilowatts from a single motor.

It's a front mounted motor, which is easy for me to say. That exceeds the

current top models by about 39 horsepower, I think. The Cooper accelerates naught to 62 miles an hour.

That's 100kph in 5.9 seconds. And the larger aceman does it half a second slower. Both are limited

to 124 miles an hour or 200kph.
