| 1:09.8 | joining us. Oh, you're welcome. I'm happy to be here. You know, before we jump into things, maybe you can start off by sharing with people listening about your personal story with Sculliosis and your story of finding yoga as a way of handling it? |
| 1:25.8 | So unlike a lot of my students I didn't have severe sculliosus as a teenager. I started having neck trouble when I was about eight years old and I was in a collar for a month and then I have big memories of my mother discussing scoliosis with my pediatrician. |
| 1:47.0 | I wasn't braced. The scoliosis was mild and I was just given exercises to do as pre-teens. |
| 1:55.0 | And the exercises were walking with my feet straight on the floorboards and carrying a book on my head. |
| 2:00.8 | And I didn't do them for very long. I was constantly told to stand up straight. I also had |
| 2:07.1 | chyphosis which is when the spine moves back in space and the front of the chest the front of the body drops and I didn't know how to stand up |
| 2:17.4 | straight and I couldn't so it became a point of rebellion and I always had balance issues. |
