At the boardroom show in Santa Cruz, I had a conversation with a podcast listener

named Chris,

a.k.a. Clark Griswold Jr. in our fantasy surfer clubhouse, if you follow there.

One of my favorite handles, of course. He was talking about a skip fry fish that he had ordered recently, and I'm not sure if these were his words or mine, or maybe it's just a blend of both of our sentiments in hindsight.

But my memory of the conversation is that we were likening surfboard shapers to artists.

And one of us drew the illusions to famous now dead painters, Picasso, Gogan,

pioneers of a style,

of a technique,

synonymous with a given movement,

cubism,

impressionism,

or maybe it's post-impressionism.
