0:28.6	First, let's hear a TSA from Jessica.
0:32.2	Jessica says, every week, my grade level gets 45 minutes to plan.
0:36.7	I am the grade level chair, and there are four of us on the team.
0:40.3	As much as I want to be productive at these meetings, we all know where this is going,
0:44.6	the meetings turn into chit-chat about our kids or issues we have in the classroom.
0:49.2	I enjoy this, but then I am upset at myself because the meeting was not productive.
0:53.5	How can I, as the leader of the team,
0:55.7	keep us on track without seeming antisocial or rude? So Michelle and I have both been team leaders.
1:02.7	So this is, I think we have some really good tips for you. Jessica, I will tell you that I feel like
1:08.4	I have always said that getting adults to focus is harder
1:13.5	than getting your students' attention.
1:16.5	They just cannot, for the love of them, do the things that they need to get done.
1:20.7	I don't know what happens.
1:23.2	But here's the thing.
1:24.7	It's okay to give your team some time to talk. They need to release stress,
1:30.1	and that's important. Your job as a team leader is to kind of help reel them back in. So you
1:37.4	need to be okay with speaking up. And you might feel like you're being kind of the being and that
1:43.1	nobody's going to like you and that you're being rude. But I promise you, you're being kind of the being and that nobody's going to like you
1:44.2	and that you're being rude.
