You're listening to the Decluttered Mom podcast. A podcast built specifically for busy moms by a busy mom. I'm your host, Diana Renee. And in 2017, I had my second daughter and it felt like I was literally drowning in my home. Okay, not literally,

0:23.7

but I felt like I couldn't breathe with all of the stuff surrounding me. Over the next 10 months,

0:30.2

I got rid of approximately 70% of our household belongings and I have never looked back.

0:42.5

I kind of feel like I hacked the mom system, and I'm here to share all the tips,

0:44.3

tricks, and encouragement.

Let's listen to today's show.

Welcome to another episode of the Decluttered Mom podcast.

I am excited to talk to you today because I want to just offer up a reminder of something that is so simple yet makes such a huge difference in the mornings in our house. And I know many, many students of mine have said this has been a game changer for them also. And again's just a really simple thing it's a really simple switch it's something that you have to do already it's just

1:17.4

doing it at a different time to make your mornings go easier and that simple thing is just to have

1:26.3

1:43.4

I would say 95% of the time, I go and work at

1:49.0

coffee shops in the morning especially because if I don't, there is too much to distract me at

1:55.5

home and there are too many things vying for my attention in my own home that I just am not as productive. And so I know that if I go

2:04.3

drop my kids off at school and I go right to a coffee shop, I'm going to be like a hundred

2:10.5

times more productive. And so I get myself ready as if I'm going to an office. And that has been really, really helpful for me.

2:19.2

So for me, what that means is having my work bag ready, having my laptop ready, having it

2:26.6

charged and in the bag and also having the laptop charger in the bag, having my notebook,

2:32.6

having my pen, having my highlighter, having my water bottle already filled in the bag, having my notebook, having my pen, having my highlighter, having my water

2:36.1

bottle already filled in the work bag, ready to go, having my electrolyte powder mix that I mix into

2:42.6

the water in the work bag, ready to go. Basically, anything that I'm going to need while I am out of
