talking with you before we went on the air. And one of the reasons I wanted to talk about Christian

nationalism is because a lot of people will say, hey, you're always critiquing progressive Christianity.

Why don't you critique Christian nationalism? And at first I was like, well, I haven't really studied

that. I don't know really what it is. And people would give very different definitions. So I've been

trying to think about it over the past several months trying to process what it is. And I want to

talk with you about it today. So let's define. We did this last time. We defined our terms first.

So, Niel, what is Christian? Or maybe we can just define like maybe nationalism. Then we can put

it with Christian nationalism. And then we're sort of evolves into this. What we hear, white Christian

nationalism. What do these terms mean? Sure. I just googled it. Right. Because I agree that people

just throw these terms around. I'm like, well, how are they defined in dictionaries? How are they

defined just colloquially? Because, okay, sometimes words in the dictionaries are defined in one way,

but people use them differently. So I think these definitions are consistent with what I hear.
