49ers General Manager John Lynch, John Year 3. How does it feel to be back out there

watching the team run around a practice?

It feels great. You know, it's always an exciting time of year and I think the excitement this year is built around the fact that we really like our team and

we like the fact that there's probably not as much hype as last year.

We're coming in perhaps a little bit more under the radar.

And I think that's, there's a real healthy environment

right now around here and it has been through the off season in terms of the way we're going about our work and

proud of our team for doing that and a long way to go but like where we're at

So yeah there was a lot of hype last year. You know people you're

got a trendy playoff pick maybe even some people thought Super Bowl. Did you ever

really believe that or did you see kind of the fatal flaws in the team a year ago?

Well one thing I've learned about this league, you know, and I think it's why the

NFL is so popular. There's very few in today's NFL maybe back in the Niners you
