For today's case I spoke with Hal Johnston who's a retired Madison County Indiana prosecutor.

My father was a US Navy veteran World War II.

He came to circuit judge so I grew up in a law family.

A friend of mine, one day or one, she said, you know, you've got a really good temper

and I think you'd make a good policeman.

I had never thought in my life of being a policeman.

I went to the academy, was trained commissioned and spent three years as a uniformed officer

in Bloomington and my family wasn't very happy about that.

So I went ahead and started law school and that's when I discovered the prosecutor.

It was like these are the guys who really put him in prison.

So that led me into the prosecution.
