I'm going to talk to you today about my favorite, one of my favorite topics, sex and

menopause, because there's so many myths about menopause just destroying sex lives and it is what it is and it's hopeless.

And I'm here to tell you it's not. I'm here to say taking care of your menopause symptoms and taking care of relationship are important,

but menopause in and of itself does not have to end your intimate life.

So what I'm going to do is I'm going to share my screen and we're going to talk about sex and menopause today.

So how did I get, I got into menopause. I'm actually NAM certified now, North American Menopause Society, certified practitioner,

first time I ever put any initials after my MD. So now I'm MD comma NCMP, National Certified Menopause Practitioner, something like that.

I don't know. I haven't had to write it out yet, but apparently that's what I get to be now.

So I got interested in menopause because I got interested in female sexual health, right?

And it was like this huge elephant in the room of like, is

menopause affecting sex lives? Why is it affecting sex lives? And I'm going to answer both

of those for you today. What can we do about that? How do we treat men? How do we treat

menopause? Are hormones safe? What's with the Women's Health Initiative in 2002? Why is

everybody scared of estrogen?

So I just got super curious about it, went on the rabbit hole of menopause, decided to get menopause certified to like put some legitimacy behind all of my research and me talking on podcasts and giving lectures.

So now I'm nationally menopause certified practitioner and I do hormones in my clinic with the help of some PA,

so I can still be a urologist, and that is why I'm here today. So tears led the way I got into
