Today is the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.

It's an auspicious day.

Birthday by the Indian calendar.

Of course, in English calendar, it's 12 January.

It's an important date in India also because in India it's the National Youth Day.

So the Indian calendar today, it keeps changing every year.

So it's specially important and auspicious for us here at the Vedantar society of New York because

Swami Vivekananda is our founder.

So, Ramakrishna is at the source of the entire Ramakrishna, Viva-Kananda, the movement.

But this particular ashram, it's the first Hindu ashram in the West, at least in the United States.

This is founded by Swami Vivekananda.

So this is the Bhagavad Gita class.

I thought we should begin today by reading a little bit of something which Vivekhand has said about the Gita.

He has said many things. Across the complete works of Swami Vivekand, you will find many comments, observations about Gita, about Krishna.

But just one observation. One little bit I'll read.
