0:08.0	And depending on where you are in the world, you may have learned to write cursive when
0:11.4	you were in elementary school.
0:13.3	And depending on how old you are, it was either absolutely essential, one of those things
0:17.2	that was completely hammered in, or just one of many skills to work on.
0:20.8	There has been different emphasis placed on it at different times, and as I said in
0:24.2	different parts of the world.
0:25.9	As I was working on this episode, I went to do some reading about it.
0:28.5	In these days, there is actually some debate on whether it is critical for kids to learn
0:31.8	to write in cursive or not.
0:33.9	One study in the French language found that it doesn't actually improve speed or comprehension.
0:38.5	But of course, plenty of other people still appreciate and enjoy it.
0:41.9	So what does this have to do with today's story?
0:43.9	Well, while homeschooling her twin daughters, the genetic analyst I'll tell you about,
0:48.0	goes in search of Pinnmanship Aids.
0:50.8	And disappointed in what she finds, she ends up making her own.
0:53.7	I'll also offer some comments on why it might be helpful to offer a print option of a

1:03.3	figure out how to offer a print option as well, even though of course that adds some complexity.
