| 0:35.8 | Of course, I'm speaking of cancel culture and so we have people going around suggesting |
| 0:41.9 | that people need to be canceled for their actions or their statements and cancelling can |
| 0:48.3 | mean a lot of different things. |
| 0:50.1 | It often means that they should be fired from their jobs and so forth. |
| 0:55.9 | And then you got a group of people I'm calling the decryors. |
| 0:59.6 | They're decrying the whole concept of cancel culture as anti-free speech and harmful to |
| 1:05.6 | society and doling out punishments that don't fit the crime and so on. |
| 1:11.9 | And then you've got the group that I was more or less putting myself in, which is the |
| 1:15.4 | dismissers. |
| 1:16.9 | The dismissers were going around thinking, look, there's no way that this is as big of |
| 1:22.0 | a problem as the decryors are making it out to be. |
| 1:27.0 | And in a lot of these instances, the people being canceled have a lot of privilege. |
| 1:34.0 | They're used to being able to say and do whatever they want. |
| 1:37.2 | And now that they're being called out for it, they're crumbling under the weight of criticism |
| 1:41.7 | that they've never had to experience before. |
