event that's taking place this weekend that's the Battle of Ideas Festival. For us at Spiked

the Battle of Ideas is always one of the highlights of the year.

Held at the Barbican and organized by the Academy of Ideas, its two days of top-level debates

with hundreds of panels and hundreds of speakers discussing the key issues of our time.

Even better, it is a festival that takes free speech seriously.

It's an unashamedly unsafe space in which all ideas can be aired and interrogated.

Brendan O'Neill, Fraser Myers and myself will all be there

this weekend, discussing everything from Brexit to environmentalism, to white privilege, to
