This is your host Tom or Robots, and I am chiming in about episode seven of the second season of Rings of Power, giving you some of my reactions and predictions.

And speaking of predictions, I think I may have overpredicted some things.

Things haven't played out as quickly as I thought they might.

But what that means is we get a major battle episode this week, which is super exciting

because I'm just a little personal story here as I was watching this sitting on

the couch with my son who is home from school because I live in Florida and we have a

hurricane happening right now oh and by the way while we were watching one of the critical

moments the power went out actually flickered and they came back on, so we got to finish it.

But that's also part of why I'm recording this now, and I'm going to put this out early.

I want to make sure that this is up for everybody when they are ready to listen to it. And

if I go without power for a few days, I'm not going to be running late on getting these episodes

out. So let's get into it. This episode starts and we get we get the moment we knew was coming.

Sauron has been gaslighting Kellebrimbor for what is pretty much the entire season so far.

And he's been falling for it. And I think they've done a really good job of showing how he has a sense that there's something not right, but there's a piece of him that realizes that he wants what is being sold.

And so he gives in.

And I've seen some pushback.

Of course, there's pushback on the show on social media where people are like, well, if this is the most convincing Sauron can be, then he clearly isn't very manipulative.

And it's like, come on, guys, it's a TV show. It's a movie.

Like, you have to kind of get into it, right?
