Can we talk about something else?

Hello.

Out there.

I guess I understand the new world we live in where cameras are everywhere, I guess I do.

I mean, even in our own homes, we have cameras.

I understand.

But I don't like it. Maybe I'm alone on this, but being under constant surveillance, self-imposed surveillance makes no sense to me. It makes me uncomfortable.

And it's not because I have anything to hide. It's just that, I don't know, I guess I like

privacy. It's hilarious to me that some people can't go to

the fridge without hearing their spouse come over a loud speaker spying from their workplace

while you're at home supposedly alone, and that spouse is asking what you're looking for

on the fridge. It better not be ice cream, dear. We were trying to lose pounds over here.

It's funny to me that people eat dinner, watch TV, and go to sleep with cameras on them.

Are they convinced that something bad might happen? Do they feel comfort in knowing that a camera

is watching them? I mean, historically, if you told someone that that was going to be happening,

they think that this was hell. Personally, I want to trade my privacy for insurance that someone

could watch me keel over from a heart attack in slow motion later. Or have my side of an argument

reviewed to have holes poked further in it. Do people do that? Review arguments they've had in the kitchen or the

living room because they had the video footage of it? What a strange world that we live in.

Trust me, I know that bad things happen and cameras can be a deterrent to those bad things

happening to you or helpful to check in with if you're worried you left the stove on from work.
